We offer job creators an option to pay talent through the platform. This is only available for US, UK, EU, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand-based projects paying US, UK, EU, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand-based talent. This method of paying talent allows for agents who submit talent to receive their commission as part of the process. This article will explain how to set your commission within your agent account as well as how to collect it when talent you have submitted has been paid via Secure Payments. Please note that our company is not the employer and not the one making the payment. This is simply another route for the job poster to pay talent that they are working with.
Setting Your Commission
If you are creating a new agent account from scratch, you will be asked to enter your commission rate while setting up your company profile:
If you have an existing agent account and have not yet set up your commission rate, you will be prompted to do so when accessing your account or if a payment made through the platform is being sent to someone you submitted as shown in the screenshot below:
Please be aware that you can set your commission rate at any time by way of your Agency Profile. Simply log into your agent account and:
- Click "Profile"
- Then click on the Edit icon located above the name of your agency
- Add the commission rate via the "Edit Profile' modal
*Commission rates may not exceed 20% per industry standards.
Receiving the Payment
Once a secure payment has been sent the agent will be notified via email that there is a "payment waiting for your approval."
*Both the agent and the talent are required to accept the payment in order for the transaction to be finalized. If the agent does not accept the payment, the talent will be unable to receive their payment.
.
The first step is to go to the "Payments Dashboard" within your account.
If this is the first secure payment you have received you will be prompted to set up a payment account with Stripe.
You can see step-by-step instructions on how to set up a payment account under the "Receiving an Order or Payment and Creating a Payment Account" section of this article.
After that has been taken care of you are free to accept the payment.
The talent has already taken the required action on their part in the example above. Clicking the "Accept Payment" button will move the payment to the "Paid" folder and your commission will be on its way to your payment account. Clicking the dropdown arrow will surface details of the received payment.
Payment should arrive to your payment account within 7 days.
Service Fees
To help us cover payment improvements and the transaction costs, the company charges the following service fees:
- Talent: 2.5% of the received amount paid.
- Job Creators: 3% of the total amount paid.
Job Creators may choose to cover the talent's fee should they so choose.
Job Creators may also choose to cover the agent's commission when paying talent. By default, the agent's portion of the payment will be taken from the talent's payment, but some employers may opt to cover the agent's fee entirely so that the talent receives their full rate. This is at the employer's discretion.
Non-USD Currencies
Please be advised that payments made or received in non-USD currencies are delivered through a USD payment processor. Due to this, exact amounts sent or received may vary slightly from expectations based upon international currency exchange rates.
