Looking to hide, deactivate, remove, or delete your account?
We get it—sometimes you need to step away, make your profile less visible, or stop paying for a while. Whether you're taking a break from the industry or just cleaning up your digital presence, we’re here to help you choose the best option for your needs.
Before you request full account removal (which is permanent and must be handled by our team), take a moment to review the self-service options below. These are often better long-term solutions—and much easier to reverse if you change your mind later!
Self-Service Options
Individually, the following steps can help you achieve various degrees of distance from the platform. Implementing all of them simultaneously will have the same practical effect as removing your account without taking that drastic of a step.
Hiding a Profile
If you don't want your profiles showing up on Google or within our Talent Database, setting them to private may be your best option. This option still allows you to apply to job postings if you have a subscription (employers will be able to view submitted profiles) and sharing your URL with another platform user will allow them to view it as long as they are logged in. Setting your profiles to private is something you can easily do in a few simple steps.

Turning Off Notifications
If you don't want to receive any email notifications or marketing correspondence, you can turn these off, too!

Cancel Your Subscription
If you are no longer active on the site and aren't interested in being subscribed anymore you can cancel your subscription using our self-cancel option to turn off auto-renew. That way you can have your account and profile ready and waiting for you should you decide to come back.

Additional actions you can do via self-service:
Secure or Update Your Account Info
Want to update your login email, reset your password, or enable two-factor authentication among other things? This can all be done within your Account Settings.
Things to Keep in Mind if You Want to Deactivate, Remove, or Delete Your Account
- Full account deletion is a permanent action and must be handled by our support team
- Full account deletion will result in the deletion of all of the other platforms connected to your account (Backstage, Mandy, StarNow, and the Final Draft Go app)
- Account deactivation (which also needs to be handled by our support team) is an option that can sometimes allow for an account to be reactivated by request
- Account deactivation can be done by individual platform (Backstage, Mandy, StarNow, and the Final Draft Go app)
- Account deletion or deactivation prevents the reuse of the email address housed on the account in question. You will not be able to create a new account using that email address
Requesting Account Removal
If you have considered all of your options and still want to proceed with account removal, you will need to contact the support team and provide the following information with your request:
- The email address on your account
- The full name on your account
- Any alternate emails or names we might have on file that the account may be under
- A link to the profile
- A clear statement of the action you want taken
- Confirmation that you understand that this process may be irreversible
Once the request and info is received, we will verify your request and then confirm once your account has been removed.
