Why has the StarNow website changed?
We have upgraded the site to provide our valued members with exciting new features and improved user experience. The new suite of services really helps to leverage our site with fantastic options such as being able to audition through the platform, receiving secure payments directly via the website, and many more collaborative abilities that we feel really help to showcase the amazing talent on StarNow. We’re really excited about all of the new functionality and design of the site, and hope that you are, too!
What happened to my profile?
Your profile has been upgraded to our new and improved profile system that lets you add an unlimited amount of media and better showcase your skills. You can also now create separate Actor/Performer, Voiceover Artist, and Crew profiles, so your profile will always be a great match for the type of role you’re applying for.
However, although we automatically moved as much as possible of your old StarNow profile into the new profile format, you might find that not everything moved perfectly. We encourage you to take this opportunity to edit and update your profile again now so that it best reflects all of your credits, skills, recent photos, reels, and more! What happened to my "Physical Attributes"?
At this time the new profiles temporarily can't display a full size card/measurements. Please be advised that we are currently accommodating such attributes as ethnicity, height, weight, body type, and hair and eye color under the Appearance section of your profile.
However, we know the value of having a full set of measurements on hand to be easily referenced for such things as modeling assignments and for costume fittings. That is why we fully intend to implement the feature of a complete size card for your StarNow profile in the near future!
What happened to my "Intro to Camera"?
Rest assured that your "Intro to Camera" is still present in your new Media Locker which can be accessed here. The only difference is that it is no longer labeled as such. It can now be viewed amongst the unlimited amount of reels that you can add to your new StarNow profile for talent seekers to look at. If you had not recorded one prior, you can freely create a video like "Intro to Camera" now to introduce yourself to everyone through your new profile page!
Why has my talent directory score disappeared?
We’ve added some great functionality to the profile pages, including unlimited images, audio and video assets. As part of these changes, we’ve removed the talent directory score from the platform. Rest assured that casting professionals will still be able to find you for their roles, so make sure your profile is up to date with headshots and video/audio files that really showcase your talent for them to see.

Are Backstage and StarNow the same now? Why do I need two memberships?
Backstage and StarNow are owned by the same company, but are unique communities with different job opportunities and talent databases. The sites conveniently allow you to share the same profiles so that you can easily keep your profiles up-to-date across the sites; you can also securely log in to both sites with the same login credentials. However, separate memberships are needed to access the full benefits of each site. Having memberships to both platforms will give you access to the most job opportunities and increase your visibility to casting directors and employers.
My credits appear out of sorts, what can I do?
We apologize if some of your credits ended up arriving out of order to your new StarNow profile. Fear not though, your credits can easily be arranged back to their intended order by following the instructions outlined under the Credits section of this help article.
How do I search for paid opportunities?
The auditions page has a robust set of filters that will help you hone in on the opportunities that match your requirements and interests, including pay status. Check out our help page here for more information on how to seek jobs on our new platform.

How do I change my email notifications?
Due to the nature of our service, there are several different types of emails you may be receiving. Saved searches can generate email notifications to let you know about new jobs, and you can choose the frequency at which you're like to be alerted.
