Managing Your Account

Looking to hide, deactivate, remove, or delete your account?

We get it—sometimes you need to step away, make your profile less visible, or stop paying for a while. Whether you're taking a break from the industry or just cleaning up your digital presence, we’re here to help you choose the best option for your needs.

Before considering full account removal (which can be permanent), take a moment to review some other self-service options below. These are often better long-term solutions—and much easier to reverse if you change your mind later!

Self-Service Options

Individually, the following steps can help you achieve various degrees of distance from the platform. Implementing all of them simultaneously will have the same practical effect as removing your account without taking that drastic of a step.

Hiding a Profile

If you don't want your profiles showing up on Google or within our Talent Database, setting them to private may be your best option. This option still allows you to apply to job postings if you have a subscription (employers will be able to view submitted profiles) and sharing your URL with another platform user will allow them to view it as long as they are logged in. Setting your profiles to private is something you can easily do in a few simple steps.

Turning Off Notifications

If you don't want to receive any email notifications or marketing correspondence, you can turn these off, too!

Cancel Your Subscription

If you are no longer active on the site and aren't interested in being subscribed anymore you can cancel your subscription using our self-cancel option to turn off auto-renew. That way you can have your account and profile ready and waiting for you should you decide to come back.

Additional actions you can do via self-service:

Secure or Update Your Account Info

Want to update your login email, reset your password, or enable two-factor authentication among other things? This can all be done within your Account Settings.

Account Removal

If this is what you are looking to do, you have two options:

Deactivate Your Account

Deactivating your account will:

  • Turn off your subscription if it's active (you will not be eligible for a refund): This means you lose access to your account until it's reactivated. You cannot create another account in the future with the email used on this account.

  • Turn off all notifications: This means you will miss out on messages or job notifications.

  • Set your profile to private mode: This means employers will no longer be able to find you on the talent database and will not be able to reach out to you on Backstage.

If you later want to reactivate your account you can do so by sending a request to customer service.

Or

Fully Delete Your Account

Account deletion is a permanent action. Once done, it will no longer be available for you and cannot be restored.

You understand deleting your account will mean:

  • You won’t be able to reactivate your account.

  • Your account and all your data will be permanently deleted across all three sites should you have accounts there (Backstage, The Mandy Network, StarNow, and the Final Draft Go app).

  • You will not be able to retrieve any media such as photos and videos that you’ve uploaded to your profile.

  • If you have an active subscription, it will be canceled and you will not be eligible for a refund.

  • If you pursue this option, you cannot create another account in the future with the email used on this account.

All of this being understood, you can proceed with taking care of either of these options via self-service by way of the following link once you are logged into your account:
