Submitting and Updating an Application Through the iOS App

With our iOS app, you can easily apply to casting calls on the go!

Please note that you must have an active subscription to apply to jobs. If you do not have an active subscription, please check out our guide here on how to purchase a subscription directly through the iOS app.

*Crew profiles are currently in beta. During this period, applying to crew-specific jobs is free.

Applying to a Role

Tap on the name of the casting notice you're interested in, and scroll down to the 'Roles' section to see which roles are available.

Once you have decided on which role to apply to, tap on the 'Apply Now' button by the name of the role.

Alternatively, you can also tap on the 'Apply Now' button floating at the bottom of the screen, and then select the role to navigate to the application.

You have now successfully opened a draft application!

Pre-screens

If the job poster requested a pre-screen for their applications, you'll see a section at the very top of the application titled 'Pre-screen Requests'.

Job posters may either ask you questions or request a media file alongside your application.

Please keep in mind that pre-screens are optional. You can opt not to respond, though it is highly recommended, as the job poster took the time to set up the pre-screen request.

Read more about pre-screens here.

Cover Photo

Your cover photo is the first photo that casting directors will see when they view your application. By default, your primary headshot on your profile is auto-selected as your cover photo.

However, you can always customize your cover photo for each application by tapping on the 'Edit' button next to the Cover Photo section.

*Please keep in mind that any changes you apply to an individual application do not automatically update your profile. If you want to change the primary headshot on your profile, you'll need to manually edit your profile.

When you tap on the Edit button, you will immediately see all of the uploaded photos within your Media Locker. The current cover photo is marked by a big check.

You can either select a photo among the already uploaded photos by selecting the box next to an already uploaded photo with your Media Locker, or tap on 'Import a Photo' at the bottom of the screen to upload a brand new photo.

Once you are happy with your selection, tap the 'Save' button at the top of the screen.

Media

When you create a new draft application, the top 12 public photos, 6 videos, 6 audio, and 6 documents you have on your profile are automatically attached to your applications. If you want to change your top 12 and 6 media files, please edit your profile.

While some media files are automatically imported to your application, you can always customize each application for the specific role you are applying to by adding or removing media. Tap on the 'Edit' button next to 'Application Media' to edit which files are attached to this application.

If you tap on 'Add', you'll first see all of your existing uploads within your Media Locker. At the top of the screen, you can tap between categories (Photos, Videos, and Audio).

You can then either select from one of your already uploaded media by selecting the box next to the pre-uploaded media, or upload a new file by tapping on 'Import a [Media]' at the bottom of the screen.

Once you are satisfied with your changes, tap on 'Save' at the top of the screen to save your changes.

*If you want to be able to permanently delete or edit your media files from within your Media Locker, please note that you can only access the full Media Locker via the website.

Required Media

Please keep in mind that you must submit all of the required media on the application. You'll notice the requirements listed underneath the role when viewing the casting notice.

If you try to apply without fulfilling all of the required assets set by the job poster, you will see an error message notifying you that you must include the missing specific required assets.

Cover Letter

Lastly, you can include a cover letter (if required or desired). Please note that a cover letter cannot exceed 1,500 total characters.

You have the option to enter a brand new cover letter or choose from any of your previously saved templates.

If you are writing a new cover letter, you can opt to save that cover letter as a template for future use. Tap on the slide button next to 'Save as a template', and give the template a name. Tap the check icon to save your changes.

If you want to remove the cover letter or make any changes to your cover letter, you can either tap on the Edit, Choose from templates, or the Remove button.

If you select 'Choose From Templates', you'll see a list of your already saved templates. Tap on 'Select and edit' to select one, or delete the template by tapping on the trash can icon.

Once you are satisfied with your application, tap the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of the screen, or the up arrow at the top of the screen. This will submit your application.

*Note: You can delete a draft application by tapping on the trash bin icon (shown at the top of the screen). However, you cannot delete an application after it has been submitted.

After you press Apply Now, you'll see a Success screen.

Updating a Submitted Application

If the casting notice has not expired, you can still update your previously submitted application at any time before the deadline.

Navigate to the 'My Applications' tab and find your application under 'Submitted'. Tap on the application to open it.

You can now edit your application to your heart's content!

While you must manually press a button to update your application on the website, the application will automatically update as you edit your application on the iOS app.

*Please note that if the casting notice has expired, you can no longer edit or update your submitted applications or saved drafts.

When a casting notice expires, the application will automatically move to the 'Archived' folder. An application being moved to the archived folder does not indicate that you've been rejected - it simply indicates you can no longer edit the application.
