Our company understands the importance of having clear and accurate information for tax reporting purposes. In the U.S., this information often comes in the form of a 1099 document for federal taxes (when certain payment thresholds have been met); while in other scenarios and other countries, or even on a state-by-state level, other documentation or forms of reporting might be needed.
For instance, if you have earned income from employers, please note that, per IRS guidelines in the U.S.:
"Even if you don't get a Form 1099-K, if you received payments for goods, services or property, you must report your income. This includes payments you receive in cash property, goods, digital assets or foreign sources or assets."
For more detailed information on this, please refer to the IRS's official website, including this article:
And if you're looking for details regarding the payments you received via our site's Stripe Express-powered Secure Payments platform, please see the following:
How to Find Your Payments Within Your Stripe Express Account
- Log in to your Backstage Stripe Express account. One way to do this is by first logging into your Backstage (or Mandy or StarNow) account. Then go to the "My Payments" page at https://backstage.com/payments/ or https://starnow.com/payments/ or https://mandy.com/payments/ -- depending which site(s) you use. Then click on the "Manage Payment Account" button to launch the Stripe Express interface.
- In your Stripe account, navigate to the "Transactions" section.
-
There, you can filter your past payments, including by general time range, such as by "All Time" or "Past Year."
- Choose the transactions that are relevant to your situation and add up the total, to help determine the amount to report to the tax authorities, if needed. You can also click the "Export" button to manage these records off-site.
This will help you report your income accurately, even in the absence of a Form 1099-K.
