Exploring Casting Calls on the iOS App

Jobs

Here is an overview of the Jobs interface on the iOS app:

A) You can toggle between Jobs for Actors, Voiceover, Crew, Modeling, Creators vs. UGC jobs
B) Filters
C) Saved searches and jobs
D) Filters for Casting Call categories based on Performer Type (Actors, Voiceover, Crew, etc.), plus the 'Hidden' tab at the very end for all of the jobs you've chosen to hide from the main Jobs view
E) The total number of projects
F) Sorting order filter by Newest, Audition Date, and Submit ASAP (Expiring soon), and Most Relevant (the default filter)
G) Badges/Tags (Project type, paid/unpaid status, Union and/or non-union status)
H) Hide job button
I) Age of the casting notice
J) The name of the production
K) Location where the production is seeking talent from
L) Project description
M) Payment details
N) Application status (Saved Draft, Applied, Invited)

O) Save job button
P) Share button
Q) The number of roles available on this casting notice

Sorting Casting Calls

Tap on the sorted by button to sort the order of the notices by either Newest, the Audition Date, or the notices that will be expiring soon (Submit ASAP), and Most Relevant.

*The default sort order for jobs is automatically set to Most Relevant.


Tap on any of the other three options if you want to change the sort order of these jobs. The page will automatically refresh according to your selected order.

Saved Searches


You can locate your saved searches and saved jobs by tapping on the heart icon shown above.

You can see a list of all of your existing saved searches.

Tap on the name of the saved search to activate the filters. If you want to edit your saved search name or the frequency of notifications for a specific saved search, tap on 'Edit' and then the name of the saved search you want to edit.

Saved Jobs

After tapping on the heart icon, tap on the second filter, 'Jobs', to view all of the jobs you previously saved for later.

You can tap on the name of the production to view more information about that job and apply if interested.

If you want to delete a saved job, simply tap on the heart icon again. The saved job will automatically disappear from your Saved Jobs list.

If you have multiple saved jobs and want to remove all of them from your Saved Jobs folder, tap on the 'Remove all' button at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

You'll see a pop-up message asking you to confirm whether you'd like to proceed with removing all saved jobs. Tap 'OK' to proceed.

All of the jobs will automatically be removed from the list and show this message confirming it's done.

Filters

You can sort the numerous job opportunities on our Jobs tab according to your own filter preferences by tapping the filter icon shown below.

Your screen will automatically open to various filter options that you can use to hone in on the types of opportunities you're looking for.

Tap 'More' and click on the drop-down menu to view the full range of options and click on the drop-down menu. After selecting your preferred filters, tap on the 'View results' button to activate the filters.

*If you need to locate a specific casting call by name, you can use the 'Keywords' filter. Search "Name of production" (complete with parentheses) to locate the listing. This feature only works if the casting call is still active and has not expired yet.

Filters also vary depending on which type of job you filter by at the top.

For example, if you filter by Voiceover-specific jobs, you'll see specific filters for that search, such as Voice Age.

Saving Searches

You can also save your search (as seen on the left) if you want to save your selected filters. You can receive email and push notifications that match your saved search, as well as easily tap on your existing saved search so that you can activate the filters without manually editing the filters each time you visit the iOS app or website.

Hide Jobs

If you want to hide a job you've already viewed and no longer wish to see from your search results, you can hide the listing.

Tap on the slashed eye icon on the right-hand side of the notice to hide the job.

You will then see a 'Job hidden!' confirmation message pop up.

Unhiding a Job

If you've accidentally hidden a job you're interested in, and/or want to revisit a job you've hidden, no worries!

You can recover and/or view all of the jobs you've hidden by navigating to the top header with all of the icons and scrolling all the way to the left.

You'll see the 'Hidden' slashed eye icon at the right-hand corner of the screen. Tap on the Hidden icon.

Here you can find the list of jobs you've hidden from view.


If you want to restore a job, simply tap on the 'reverse' icon at the right-hand corner of the screen.

If successful, you'll see a 'Job restored' confirmation message pop up on the screen.

Production Details

Tap on the name of the casting call to view the full production details.

You can see the following information:

A) Tap on this back button to go back to the main casting calls page to view all jobs

B) Tap on the down arrow to jump directly to the notice below this notice

C) Tap on the up arrow on the right side of the screen to jump directly to the notice directly above this notice (if there is one)

D) Badges in black tags indicating job category, union status, etc.

E) Job name

F) The location where the job poster is seeking talent from

G) Payment details (if it is a paid job)

H) Company details, including the production company name, how long the job poster has been verified, and how many jobs they've posted jobs with us)
I) Project description

J) Save the job for later

K) Share button

L) Similar to our website, we offer two ways of applying by tapping on the floating 'Apply Now' button and tapping on the name of the role.

Roles

Scroll down the production details page to view all of the roles associated with this casting call.

You can view a variety of details about the role itself, such as the character breakdown (if one has been written). From here, you have the option to apply or save a draft to apply later. This is also the second (preferred) method of applying.


M) View the Compensation & Contract details
N) View the Key Details for this project, mainly the location where the job poster is seeking talent from
O) View the Additional Materials (any websites, further details if provided)
P) The date and time the listing will expire
