There are times when a self-tape audition is called for and you may not have someone to read lines with. Fear not! Scene Partner is here to provide the other character voice you may need when reading your sides for the audition. The following article will instruct on how to use this helpful feature.
Engaging Scene Partner
After opening your self-tape audition request you will see an option to try Scene Partner. You also have the option to upload your own self-tape independent of this feature should you so choose.
Clicking on the button will bring up the Set up your scene screen. Here you will see options to preview the scene or change the script. You may also select the part and preview the lines that you are reading for (the role you applied to will be the default). Lastly, you will see a plethora of voice options for the character that Scene Partner will be reading for. Clicking the Play button next to each option will allow for a sampling of what each voice will sound like.

Once you have selected the reading partner's voice and are all squared away, click Continue to begin the process of recording your audition.
That will bring up the next screen where you can Open the Recorder.
Recording and Submitting the Self-Tape Audition
You will now find yourself on the screen seen below:
On the left side of the screen you will note that there are several options:
You may set a pace with which to deliver your lines. There are three options through which to click and select:
Natural Pace
Brisk Pace
Relaxed Pace
You may select to either auto advance the lines or to manually tap for the next line to be fed.
You can also view any instructions that the job poster may have sent over with the self-tape audition request.
Once you are practiced up and ready to proceed you can click Start Recording. After you have read through the scene and turned off the camera, you will be presented with several options.
Add to Application - This will add the self-tape audition to your application for the job poster to view.
Download this Take - The allows you to save your audition to your device.
Discard & Start Again - If you are not satisfied with the take after giving it a listen, no worries! You can discard it and record another reading.
Discard & Return to Application - If you are not happy with the audition you can discard it and come back later to try again.
After selecting the Add to Application option you will see your audition submitted within your application. Best of luck!
