Applying to Briefs on Backstage

For all of you content creators looking for UGC jobs, this article will provide information on how to apply to these exciting opportunities posted on the Backstage website.

Where to Find the Briefs

You may find posted briefs a couple of ways.

One is to click on the My UGC button in the upper right corner of your screen and select Find UGC Jobs from the ensuing dropdown:

Another is to click on Find Jobs in the upper left corner of your screen and click on Influencer/UGC Jobs from that dropdown. Then click on Explore Now in the banner as shown below.

You will now be taken to all of the live briefs posted on Backstage:

You can use the filters at the top of the page to search by location, project type, product category, platform, keywords, compensation, deliverables, and by listing expiration date or most recently posted.

Applying to the Brief

Once you find a brief you are interested in applying to simply click on View Details in the lower right hand corner of the brief. This will open the brief and allow you to apply.

Clicking Apply will bring up a window like the following:

Here you can edit your profile as appropriate or attach a personal note to the application (recommended). When finished click Apply Now.

Tracking the Application Within Your Application Dashboard

You can find your application under the UGC Projects section of your dashboard:

If you do not already have a Stripe connect account set up, you will be prompted to do so that you will be able to receive payouts for orders.

The application starts in the Applied section and then will proceed as appropriate if the employer responds to the application with interest in hiring - Booked >> In Progress >> Closed.

If the employer decides to move forward with an applicant the application will proceed to the booked stage as an order has been requested:

Click into the application to view the order. Clicking See Details will allow the applicant to see what is expected for the job. If the applicant has any questions or want to make a general comment on the project, they may send a message via the Comments field. If ready to accept the job, they may click on the green check button. To decline, click on the orange X button.

In the case of accepting the order the applicant will see the following:

The applicant must now agree to the Terms of Use and UGC License & Content Usage Agreement. After doing so the application moves to In Progress at which point the agreed to content will now need to be delivered.

After creating the deliverable, the content creator would upload and submit it to the job poster.

In the My Orders & Payments dashboard we can see that the submission is under review:

Once it is approved, the applicant would be paid out and the application moves to Closed:
